Student Ministries

Equipping our Students

to be Christ-Centred, Spirit-Empowered, and Mission Focused.

Student Ministries at Avalon takes two major forms. We have a Youth Group on Monday nights where fellowship is the focus and Quizzing on Thursday Nights  where understanding the Bible is the goal. Both nights are meant to equip our students to have a life-long relationship with God and to find their place in the church and both nights are fun and Bible-centered.

Youth Group

Quizzing

Monday

6:30PM-8:30PM

Our goal is to make Avalon a place where Grades 6-12 feel like they belong within the church. We aim to provide all young people with a safe space to have fun, ask questions, build friendships, and talk about God. Most nights includes games, snacks, and a Bible lesson.

The fun part of Youth Group is the freedom for teens to try different things together. We have had the opportunity to have presentations from Bible Colleges, leave the church to go sledding, skating, or to the movies, have overnight events, or even some artistic/dramatic activities.

For many adults, their teenage years were formative in their faith and their sense of belonging within the church. We aim to build into our youth by teaching the Bible and fostering a community of believers who are a significant part of Avalon

Thursday

6:30PM-8:00PM

"The mission of quizzing is to see visible evidence of the application of God's Word in the lifestyle of each participant."
Bible Quizzing is a ministry of Life Impact Ministries/CMA to assist teens to connect with God in a deeper way by Experiencing Him and Expanding His Kingdom.

Quizzing accomplishes this goal by doing three things.
1.Systematically studying and applying God's Word.
2.Building character, self-discipline, and encouraging prayer.
3.Equipping students with the capacity to serve in ministry.

Bible Quizzing is an exciting way to get young people from Grades 7-12 engaged in learning and reciting God’s Word. This year we are memorizing the books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians.  We meet every week to study a chapter and to ask questions on it.
