She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 31:25
Our Women's Ministry is a space to not only celebrate being women, but to give us a chance to break out of our daily routines and enjoy each other's company, building each other's faith and encouraging one another to grow in our walk with God (without worrying about kids at home or the chores that always seem to be there!)
Our events include
Semi Regular Meetings
We meet together occasionally, on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm. Our standard gatherings occur in September (to kick off the fall season) and at Christmas. Although we meet at other times as well, they are not as routinely planned.
Annual Retreat
This is a time to get away for the weekend (typically April or May), to enjoy great food, explore God's wonderful nature, learn from His word and spend time with each other. Many bring their crafting supplies, while others just sit and enjoy the scenery, a good book, a long (or short) hike or a nap!
Craft Saturdays
Typically, on the third Saturday of every other month (September, November, January, March and May) the Lower Fellowship hall is open at 10:00am for women to bring their crafts and get some "serious" work done while enjoying each other's company. Bring your quilting, scrap booking, crocheting, cross stitching, painting, cards, flower making, etc supplies and your lunch. The church closes when the last lady goes home! Please check with the calendar for the next Crafting date.
"Any excuse to celebrate" dates
These include baby showers and bridal showers.
Meal Train
When something unexpected (or sometimes, expected) happens, our women sign up to bring a meal to the family in need. Whether it is the new arrival of a baby, a sudden accident or medical emergency that takes someone out of commission for a bit, we want to bless others by making their burden a little lighter when it comes to meal prep!
